Trivia[]
Players could find out what the Achievement Diary item was immediately after the update using Quick Chat, or by asking one of the three NPC's about the rewards to be told it was a cloak and some other secrets.
On the day of the release, clicking on the spoiler box on the RuneScape website for the rewards gave the message: "Argh! Someone's pinched the rewards!"
This is the first quest/achievement diary to require music tracks.
This is the first achievement diary to have an "elite" or "hidden" section.
An image was found a few hours before the release named ardougne_ad which turned out to be the image for the news post.
The Ardougne Achievement diary is the first Achievement diary to have thieving based rewards.
Some people will not receive the achievement for a successful lock-pick on the door to the Yanille Agility dungeon. If this happens, attempt to pick the lock again. Credit for this achievement is usually received when an attempt is unsuccessful.
Some people are unable to use the NPC Contact spell to complete the task involving claiming sand.
When you complete an easy diary task the congratulatory message uses "Easy" in the chat window, however, when you complete a medium task, it is all in lower case, "medium".
If you teleport to the monastery south of Ardougne with the Ardougne cloak, the symbol of Saradomin appears around your feet.
There is currently a glitch where people that already did a part of the elite diaries, elite sometimes or never shows up in the diary list, the yellow 'Ardougne' word must be click to see the elite tasks. (This will probably be fixed with the elite diaries update.)
