The Ardougne cloak 3 is a reward from completing the hard tasks in the Ardougne Diary. It currently offers the second best prayer bonus for any cape with +6, and was number 1 until being beaten on the 11th of January 2010 by the Soul Wars cape. It also offers the best stab attack bonus for any cape, at +6. It is obtained from Aleck in Aleck's Hunter Emporium in Yanille. The design on the back seems to look like a highwayman's mask. This may be because Ardougne is a popular city for those wishing to train thieving.
It grants its owner the following bonuses:
- All Powers of Ardougne cloak 2
- Increased ability of stealing and pickpocketing anywhere in RuneScape.
- Magical traps on chests will teleport the player to Ardougne's North Bank, instead of a random location.
- Even more of the drops in the Creature Creation activity in the Tower of Life will become noted.
- Wizard Cromperty will give 150 pure essence per day. (Not needed to be worn)
- Ability to change the Watchtower teleport to take the player within Yanille's Walls.
- Twice as many Death Runes when selling cats in West Ardougne.
- The chance of more runes from the Ourania Altar is the same as Ardougne cloak 2's.
- Toggle Ring of Life teleportation to Ardougne. (Not needed to be worn)
- Longer immunity after teleporting to the Wilderness with the Wilderness lever.
- Upon completing the Elite Ardougne Diary Aleck will modify Ardougne Cloak 3 to allow an unlimited amount of teleports to the Ardougne allotments.
